Tampa Bay finish carpentry Who We Are
A finish carpenter is responsible for every piece of wood in a house that you see and touch: the molding, the paneling, the stair treads, the beams overhead. The job is making joints close cleanly and stay closed, setting out runs so they look intentional, and fitting straight material to rooms that are rarely square. It is different work from a general handyman visit. A handyman can patch a piece of trim or hang a door, and for plenty of small repairs that is the right call. Where the difference shows is at the corners, along a long run, and in how the work looks two years on.
A carpenter who finishes also has to understand the rough work underneath, because trim only stays right if it is fixed to something solid. On this site the finish services and the framing behind them sit under one roof, and a job that needs blocking or a repaired stud gets that work priced in, not discovered later.

Our Work
Woodworking 101
Finish carpentry is more than cutting trim to length. Most of the work is reading the room you actually have: walls that bow, ceilings that are not level, and corners that are rarely square.
We help homeowners understand what can be matched, what has to be replaced, and what a room will look like before anything is fixed in place. Getting the set-out right up front is what keeps a run looking right years later.
No. We measure and quote the work for free.
If the job is woodwork, a carpenter. If the project spans several trades at once, plumbing, electrical and structural changes together, that is general contractor territory, and we say so before quoting if your job is one of those.
Usually. Bring a photo or an offcut and we can tell you straight whether it can be matched or whether the run needs replacing to look right.
It depends on the ceiling and the number of beams. Box beams on a straightforward ceiling are often a one-day install; solid timber on a ceiling that needs structural work takes longer. You get a timeline with the estimate.
Yes. Single rooms are common: a living room of crown, a stairwell of wainscoting, one beam over a kitchen island.
Cost Guide
Every estimate is room-specific. These are the four things that move the number most.
Run length and ceiling height set the material. A taller room needs a deeper profile, and depth costs more per foot.
A flat eight-foot ceiling and a vaulted one are different jobs. Access and ceiling type set the labor, not the material.
Stain, paint or raw. Finishing on site costs more than delivering raw stock, and is often the real gap between two quotes.
Trim priced per foot ignores corners, and corners are the work. Six corners take far longer than a straight run of the same footage.
Solid timber, engineered stock and paint-grade poplar behave differently in Florida humidity and are priced differently.
A beam the ceiling can carry and one it cannot are different projects. We check the framing before quoting either.
Call (813) 605-1621 and describe the space, the service you have in mind and your part of Tampa Bay. A photo helps, and the measure and estimate that follow are free.
Send a photo of the space and the rough dimensions, and we will come back to you with a real number for the work in front of us.
